Dr. Kevie Kawasaki was born and raised in Waipahu, Hawai`i on the island of O`ahu. After graduating high school, she attended the University of Colorado Denver where she earned her undergraduate degree in 2015. That Fall, she enrolled at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon where she earned her Doctor of Optometry in 2019.
Upon completion of optometry school, Dr.Kawasaki practiced for a year on the Southern Oregon Coast where she served as a primary provider for ocular disease, pediatric vision, contact lenses, vision therapy, and surgery co-management. Here, she also spent her time serving as the Bandon Lions Club Sight and Hearing Chair, helping to organize service events and school vision screenings.
Serving her community and those in need has always been a passion of Dr. Kawasaki’s. During her time in optometry school, she participated in a service trip to Guatemala where she and a group of her classmates provided optometric care to villages in need.
While growing up in Hawai`i, Dr. Kawasaki loved hiking and spending time at the beach. During her time at Pacific University, she fell in love with the Oregon landscape, where she was able to continue her love for hiking and water sports.
